The following is a list of some of the Land Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in Ontario that support the Ability Works Physical Agility Evaluation (PAE) as a minimum physical standard for paramedic fitness-to-work. These PAE Employers require a PAE “Recommendation” as a condition of employment.

Each EMS group will post paramedic positions with specific application dates, requirements and deadlines. PAE Summaries are typically a minimum valid of 90 days, but the majority of EMS service accept PAEs within 6 months. Therefore, strategic timing may be important when considering a test date. Please also consider that testing too close to a deadline date may result in not having a positive result when it is required. The basic PAE cost is $200 (GST Inclusive). Ability Works will endeavor to provide testing that is local to you when possible and as volume indicates.
